Religious Denomination
St Joseph’s School is a Catholic school and has served the community since 1863. Children from other faiths are welcome to enrol.
School Structure
The Early Years comprises Pre School, Reception, Year 1 and 2.
The Primary Years are Year 3 and 4 and the Middle Years are Years 5, 6 and 7.
Student Numbers
St Joseph’s School currently has 665 children from Reception – Year 7 and caters for up to 80 children in our Pre School.
Class Sizes
We realise that class size is an important issue for parents. There are no more than 25 children in classes from Reception to Year 1. Classes in Years 2-7 comprise no more than 29 children.
Staff
We have 75 committed staff working at St Joseph's, including 40 teachers.
Facilities
St Joseph’s School has a PreSchool for 4 year olds, a state of the art middle years building, open space classrooms in the early years, library, ICT suite, arts and music rooms, canteen, extensive oval and play spaces with two cricket nets, outdoor garden and mini-gym.
Students participate in a range of experiences; sporting teams and carnivals, instrumental lessons, school bands, singing, arts performances, Italian enrichment, buddy classes. liturgies, assemblies and Student Representative Council.
Early enrolment is always recommended. Families need to enrol for PreSchool and Reception separately. An Application to Enrol form can be obtained from the Registrar and needs to be completed and returned with the $30 fee.
