Student Life
We understand that children need to feel safe, happy and motivated at school to maximise their learning. Fostering a school climate where each child is respected, included and takes responsibility for their own behaviour and learning is at the heart of who we are as Catholic school.
Our concern for our students goes beyond just their acadecmic development.
We are committed to providing a safe, secure and happy environment for all students and staff. Their well-being as individuals is a key part of our community and we have a number of initiatives to help their well-being.
We know each child has unique talents and gifts and learns at different rates and in different ways. We have a team of Education Support Officers (ESOs) who support children in the classroom with their learning.
We are not only developing good students, we are also developing tomorrow's leaders. St Joseph’s School students are given many opportunities to be student leaders.
Our Year 7s volunteer to join Liturgical Dance in their final year of primary schooling. Working with our Arts Teacher they plan and perform prayerful dance movements at our school masses and various prayer services. These prayful movements lead the school community to reflect more deeply about their relationship with God.
