Getting Started

When children first enrol with St Joseph’s Hectorville, we connect with their whole family. We want to understand each students’ background, personality, challenges and passions, to ensure we can create a learning pathway that suits the individual.

School tours are a great way to start this conversation with our staff.

School tours

An opportunity for families to get a feel for what a typical day is like in the life of a St Joseph’s Hectorville student.

Alongside some of our older students, our Deputy Principal Keiran Taylor will guide you through the school’s facilities and give you an insight into some of our vibrant classrooms. This is also a chance to ask questions face-to-face with our leadership team and discuss your expectations or child’s needs, while also observing our students in their element.

We understand that for some people, it might take time to come to a decision on what school to send their children to, so our tours provide a ‘no obligation’ opportunity to see what your child’s experience would look like if you enrol them with St Joseph’s.

You can also spend more time with our team and understanding how the schools works through enrolling in any of our early learning programs if you wish.

Tours are held each Tuesday morning during the school term at 9.30am, and registrations are essential.

School intakes

St Joseph’s Hectorville offer two Reception intakes, January and mid-year.

The mid-year intake is for children who turn 4 years old from 1 May through to 31 October.

If you’re not quite ready to enrol, please get in touch with our team to book in a tour of our school – we love hosting new visitors.

Preschool intakes

There are two intakes for Preschool:

  1. Children who turn 4 years old between 1st of November and 30th of April begin in Term 1.
  2. Children who turn 4 years old between the 1st of May and 31st of October can begin Mid-year in Term 3.
