Mid-year Intake

Your child will make a smooth transition from Playgroup (0 – 4 year olds) all the way through to Year 6 at St Joseph’s.
We offer two enrolment intakes for Preschool and Reception. Our first intake is for the start of the year and second for mid-year.
Our pathway from Preschool to Reception is an ideal way for children to transition to school. It provides a great foundation for children to develop friendships, know staff and become familiar with the school.
When can your child start?
Beginning in Term 1
Preschool
Children who turn 4 years between 1st of November and 30th of April.
Reception
Children who turn 5 years between 1st of November and 30th of April.
Beginning Mid-Year in Term 3
Preschool
Children who turn 4 years old between 1st of May and 31st of October.
Reception
Children who turn 5 years old between 1st of May and 31st of October. Children whose birthday falls between 1st of November and 31st of December will commence Preschool or Reception the following year.
